# Responsive Tables

Tables on websites can not always adjust to the available space on the screen automatically,
so that they can extend beyond the screen edge on small screens — the tables are
not “responsive”. But solving this is possible!

The TablePress Responsive Tables Extension that offered approaches to deal with
this, has been retired.
**It can no longer be downloaded and does no longer work
with TablePress 3.0 or newer!**

To replace this retired Extension, use the [**Responsive Tables**](https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/)
feature module that is available in the [**TablePress Premium plans**](https://tablepress.org/pricing/).

It offers even **more features** and comes with a **great user interface** to choose
a mode for responsiveness.

Without the [Responsive Tables](https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/)
feature module, you can only use “Horizontal Scrolling” to make tables responsive,
by activating the “Horizontal Scrolling” checkbox in the “Table Features for Site
Visitors” section on the “Edit” screen of your tables.
